BLACKWOOD

The Blackwood Wines logo, reading "Blackwood Wines"

We started Blackwood Wines to create and share limited productions of our favorite styles of wine with our favorite people: our family and friends.

We create vibrant wines from Santa Barbara County by treating our grapes with an appreciation for where and when they were grown; from quality vineyards & farming practices through minimal adjustments in the cellar, each vintage tells a story of the growing season and the vineyard it came from.

2023 Gamay

Alisos Canyon AVA

Our 2023 Gamay comes from the Alisos Canyon AVA, Santa Barbara County’s newest AVA. This wine has the freshness that you would expect from a cool-climate California wine paired with the structure of a more typical french gamay. Ready to drink now or evolve for years in the bottle.

2024 Chardonnay

STA. Rita Hills AVA

Coming from a single vineyard in the eastern Sta. Rita Hills AVA, this chardonnay has fresh and zippy citrus notes and is balanced by neutral oak. A chardonnay for those who don’t like California chardonnay. Drink now, or revisit in three to five years.

2024 Chardonnay

Sta. Rita Hills AVA

A collaboration with our friends over at Bolt To Wines! This chardonnay is a blend of two vineyard sites in Sta. Rita Hills; 75% from a vineyard on the southwestern corner, and 25% from a vineyard on the eastern edge of the AVA. More reserved than our 2024 Blackwood chardonnay, the two vineyards come together beautifully to remind one of a french chardonnay.
